Veronica takes on a case against Keith’s wishes from a woman suspicious of her boyfriend’s activities after she finds an engagement ring in his gym bag. Chasing down the boyfriend, Veronica only finds that he is the leading candidate for boyfriend of the year, but the woman determines that even the slightest fault (in this case, that he didn’t tell her that he was house-sitting instead of owning the house he lives in) is enough to end the relationship.
Meanwhile, Keith meets the mystery man chasing Alicia Fennel, and he claims that Mrs. Fennel took something that belongs to him. At the end of the episode, the man introduces himself to Wallace, and claims to be Wallace’s father.
